Use A 16A Houshold Socket (Type F, Schuko) To Charge All Models Of The Type 2 Socket Peugeot e-3008 At Home Or Where Any Schuko Socket Is Available
This Peugeot e-3008 compatible charger offers adjustable current settings, allowing you to charge the Peugeot e-3008 at the recognised safe limit of 10A if you are regularly charging your vehicle with a Schuko / household socket.
Adjusting this charger’s current to the lower current settings enables compatibility with sockets requiring less than 10A. This feature therefore allows connection to solar panels/PV systems.
The mobile charger is designed for plugging into a 16A Schuko socket. The 16A setting represents the maximum current the Peugeot e-3008 is able to draw from a Schuko socket. However, an electrician would need to certify that the socket and electrical circuit is capable of doing so due to the increased risk of the socket and plug overheating.
The lower current settings that are available for this mobile charger will minimise the heat impact on the Schuko socket. This is important when charging the Peugeot e-3008 on holiday or in any location where the socket has not been certified for charging an electric vehicle.

Is This Mode 2 Mobile Charger Suitable For The Peugeot e-3008?
Choosing The Right Charger
The Peugeot e-3008 has a Type 2 socket as standard, ensuring compatibility with this charger.
Charging an EV with a Schuko socket may cause thermal damage if the socket overheats due to damaged or faulty wiring or if the electrical circuit is overloaded. For this reason, we recommend having an electrician inspect the intended socket for EV charging to certify its suitability.
We understand that, at times, charging your vehicle with a socket certified by an electrician may not be feasible. For example, if you are away on holiday. In such instances, we recommend setting the mobile charger to the lowest current. It is also a good idea to ensure that both the plug and socket are not becoming excessively hot during charging.
Avoid using an extension lead or adapter with this Schuko charger. Plug the charger directly into the Schuko socket and into the vehicle socket of the Peugeot e-3008. Ensure that water does not come into contact with the Schuko plug and water does not enter inside the Type 2 plug. Keep the mobile charger dry when not in use. Before usage, make sure that you have read the user booklet that is included with the charger.
Please note that the manufacturer of this vehicle did not manufacture this charging cable.
How Waterproof Is This Charger?
This charger consists of four main components: the Schuko plug, the cable, the control box (unit), and the Type 2 plug.
Schuko Plug: The plug should be safe from water if you are plugging it into an indoor socket. If you are using an outdoor socket, the Schuko plug needs to be protected and you should therefore use a weatherproof socket.
Cable: The cable is waterproof as long as there are no cuts or tears in the cable sheath.
Control Box: The standard control box is IP65-rated. This rating means that the control box can withstand light rain. If you are placing the control box outside, you can select the option to upgrade to the IP67-rated control box. This rating means that the control box is fully weatherproof.
Type 2 Plug: The Type 2 plug is built with an outer shell that is designed to withstand rain and snow when connected to the vehicle socket. The vehicle socket is also designed to be watertight and should therefore provide protection from water ingress when the Type 2 plug is connected. A common way for water to enter the Type 2 plug is when the plug cap is replaced after charging. The plug cap must always be replaced after charging your vehicle, but do ensure that the inside of the plug cap is dry. Avoid leaving the plug lying around outside, do not drag or drop the Type 2 plug on the ground and store the charger in a dry place when not in use.
