Ist Ihr Fahrzeug bereits mit einem Ladekabel vom Typ 2 ausgestattet? Bitte fragen Sie Ihren Händler/Verkäufer, ob ein Ladekabel vom Typ 2 auf Typ 2 mit Ihrem Fahrzeug mitgeliefert wurde.

Ist Ihr Kabel lang genug? Messen Sie die Länge von Ihrem Wandladegerät bis zur Typ-2-Fahrzeugsteckdose an der Stelle, an der Ihr Fahrzeug normalerweise geparkt wird. Fügen Sie einen halben Meter hinzu, um eine Überdehnung des Kabels zu vermeiden. Wenn Sie das Ladekabel an einer öffentlichen Ladestation verwenden, wird das 5-Meter-Kabel (8 m für ein Spiralkabel) empfohlen, da die Länge von 3 Metern manchmal zu kurz sein kann.

Ist dies ein Verlängerungskabel? Nein. Dieses Kabel kann nicht zum Verlängern oder Anpassen eines Kabels verwendet werden, das an einer Ladestation, einem Mode-2-Ladegerät oder einem Typ-2-auf-Typ-2-Kabel angeschlossen ist. 3 Phase 16A Charging Cable Mercedes EV When Plugged In To A Type 2 Socket Charging Station

Our 3 Phase 16A Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable will provide up to 11kW and can be plugged into the Type 2 socket of the Mercedes EV and any Type 2 charging station that does not have a cable already attached to it. It does not matter if the charging station is 3 Phase or 1 Phase because the charging station will work out how much current your EV will accept and how much current the cable can handle. The cable can therefore be used with ALL Type 2 charging stations with an open socket and the Type 2 socket of the Mercedes EV. This cable is not an extension cable and it will not work if it is connected to another Type 2 plug. It is therefore not suitable for charging points with a cable already attached to it (a tethered cable) or as an extension for any other Mode 3 charging cable or Mode 2 charger.

Choosing The Correct Charging Cable

Our Type 2 charging cables adhere to the IEC 62196-2 standard. This ensures compatibility with Type 2 Socket Charging Stations and any Type 2 socket-equipped vehicle.

The vehicle and charging point will communicate with each other to ensure that the precise amount of current is delivered to the vehicle. Therefore, it does not matter if a charging cable can supply less or more power than the vehicle can accept.

This cable is therefore suitable for charging the Type 2 socket of the Mercedes EV. Please note that the manufacturer of this vehicle did not manufacture this charging cable.

Most electric vehicles sold in Europe have a Type 2 socket, which will either be a 7 hole charging socket or a 9 hole CCS (DC rapid charging) socket. CCS (Combined Charging Socket), accommodates the Type 2 cable in its 7 hole upper chamber.

Is This Cable Waterproof?

Cable: The cable is waterproof as long as there are no cuts or tears in the cable sheath.

Type 2 Plug: The Type 2 plugs are built with an outer shell that will withstand rain and snow when connected to the vehicle socket. So your cable is effectively waterproof when it is charging your vehicle.

A common way for water to enter the Type 2 plugs is when the plug caps are replaced after charging. The plug caps must always be replaced after charging your vehicle, but do ensure that the inside of both plug caps are dry. Avoid leaving the plugs lying around outside, do not drag or drop the Type 2 plugs on the ground and store the charging cable in a dry place when not in use.

Choice Of Cable Bags

We provide a free canvas cable bag (suitable for cables up to 15M) to store this charging cable when not in use. You can also upgrade the bag to a cable case made from EVA material for enhanced waterproofing and impact protection. The EVA case has an elasticated strap in the bottom compartment and elasticated mesh pocket in the top. So it allows convenient storage of two cables. The EVA case can therefore carry 2 cables if each cable does not exceed 10 metres length (20M total length).
