Ist Ihr Kabel lang genug? Messen Sie die Länge von Ihrem Wandladegerät bis zur Typ-2-Fahrzeugsteckdose an der Stelle, an der Ihr Fahrzeug normalerweise geparkt wird. Fügen Sie einen halben Meter hinzu, um eine Überdehnung des Kabels zu vermeiden. Wenn Sie das Ladekabel an einer öffentlichen Ladestation verwenden, wird das 5-Meter-Kabel (8 m für ein Spiralkabel) empfohlen, da die Länge von 3 Metern manchmal zu kurz sein kann.

Ist dies ein Verlängerungskabel? Nein. Charge The Type 2 Socket Peugeot With A 3 Phase 32A Type 2 To Type 2 Charging Cable

Our Type 2 to Type 2, 3 phase 32A charging cable will safely provide the Peugeot EV with the maximum current that the vehicle will allow. You can use this charging cable with home wall chargers and public charging stations, provided they have a Type 2 socket. This includes charging points commonly found at car parks, supermarkets, and on the street.

This cable can be connected to any charging station with a Type 2 socket. The charging infrastructure will calculate the correct amount of current that can be carried by the charging cable and delivered to the vehicle. Consequently, this cable is compatible with ALL Type 2 charging points with an open socket.

This cable is not an extension cable. You will therefore not be able to use it to connect the Type 2 male plug to the Type 2 female plug of a Mode 3 charging cable or Mode 2 charger. It is therefore not suitable for charging points with a cable that is already attached. You can only insert the plug directly into the socket of a Type 2 charging point.

Choosing The Correct Charging Cable

Our Type 2 to Type 2 cables adhere to the IEC 62196-2 standard. This ensures compatibility with Type 2 socket charging points and any Type 2 socket-equipped vehicle.

The vehicle and charging point will communicate with each other to ensure that the precise amount of current is delivered to the vehicle. Therefore, it does not matter if a charging cable can supply less or more power than the vehicle can accept.

This cable is therefore suitable for charging the Type 2 socket of the Peugeot EV. Please note that the manufacturer of this vehicle did not manufacture this charging cable.

Most electric vehicles sold in Europe have a Type 2 socket, which will either be a 7 hole charging socket or a 9 hole CCS (DC rapid charging) socket. CCS (Combined Charging Socket), accommodates the Type 2 cable in its 7 hole upper chamber.

Is This Cable Waterproof?

Cable: The cable is waterproof as long as there are no cuts or tears in the cable sheath.

Type 2 Plug: The Type 2 plugs are built with an outer shell that will withstand rain and snow when connected to the vehicle socket. So your cable is effectively waterproof when it is charging your vehicle.

A common way for water to enter the Type 2 plugs is when the plug caps are replaced after charging. The plug caps must always be replaced after charging your vehicle, but do ensure that the inside of both plug caps are dry. Avoid leaving the plugs lying around outside, do not drag or drop the Type 2 plugs on the ground and store the charging cable in a dry place when not in use.

Choice Of Cable Bags

We provide a free canvas cable bag (suitable for cables up to 15M) to store this Mode 3 cable when not in use. You can also upgrade the bag to a cable case made from EVA material for enhanced waterproofing and impact protection. The EVA case has an elasticated strap in the bottom compartment and elasticated mesh pocket in the top. So it allows convenient storage of two cables. The EVA case can therefore carry 2 cables if each cable does not exceed 10 metres length (20M total length).
