Ist Ihr Fahrzeug bereits mit einem Ladekabel vom Typ 2 ausgestattet? Bitte fragen Sie Ihren Händler/Verkäufer, ob ein Ladekabel vom Typ 2 auf Typ 2 mit Ihrem Fahrzeug mitgeliefert wurde.

Ist Ihr Kabel lang genug? Messen Sie die Länge von Ihrem Wandladegerät bis zur Typ-2-Fahrzeugsteckdose an der Stelle, an der Ihr Fahrzeug normalerweise geparkt wird. Fügen Sie einen halben Meter hinzu, um eine Überdehnung des Kabels zu vermeiden. Wenn Sie das Ladekabel an einer öffentlichen Ladestation verwenden, wird das 5-Meter-Kabel (8 m für ein Spiralkabel) empfohlen, da die Länge von 3 Metern manchmal zu kurz sein kann.

Ist dies ein Verlängerungskabel? Nein. Dieses Kabel kann nicht zum Verlängern oder Anpassen eines Kabels verwendet werden, das an einer Ladestation, einem Mode-2-Ladegerät oder einem Typ-2-auf-Typ-2-Kabel angeschlossen ist. Use A Mode 3, 3 Phase 32A Charging Cable To Connect Your Type 2 Socket Vehicle To A Type 2 Socket Home Wall Box Or Public Charging Station

Our Mode 3 22kW charging cable will provide your EV with up to 22kW current. You can use the cable with a Type 2 socket wall charger or a public charging point. For example, the charging stations you will find at car parks, supermarkets and on the street.

It does not matter if the Type 2 socket charging point is 3 Phase or 1 Phase because the charging point will work out how much current your vehicle will accept and how much current the cable can handle. The cable can therefore be used with ALL Type 2 charging points with an open socket.

This cable is not an extension cable. You will therefore not be able to use it to connect the Type 2 male plug to the Type 2 female plug of a Mode 3 charging cable or Mode 2 charger. It is therefore not suitable for charging points with a cable that is already attached. You can only insert the plug directly into the socket of a Type 2 charging point.

Choosing The Right Type 2 Charging Cable

Is My Vehicle Type 2?

The majority of electric vehicles sold in Europe will have a Type 2 socket. A Type 2 socket vehicle will either have a 7 hole charging socket or a 9 hole CCS (DC rapid charging) socket. With a CCS (Combined Charging Socket) the Type 2 cable fits into the 7 hole upper chamber of the CCS socket.

A CCS socket will allow an electric vehicle to be connected to a DC rapid charger as well as connection to a Type 2 socket charging station.

A CCS charging unit will have a cable already attached to it. Some of these units will also have a Type 2 socket. Use our EV Cable Finder to locate your vehicle so you can confirm if 1. your vehicle has the Type 2 socket and 2. the Type 2 22kW charging cable is the best option for your vehicle.

Our Type 2 to Type 2 cables conform to the IEC 62196-2 standard, which means that they are compatible with a Type 2 charging point and any Type 2 socket vehicle. Is This Cable Waterproof?

Cable: The cable is waterproof as long as there are no cuts or tears in the cable sheath.

Type 2 Plug: The Type 2 plugs are built with an outer shell that will withstand rain and snow when connected to the vehicle socket. So your cable is effectively waterproof when it is charging your vehicle.

A common way for water to enter the Type 2 plugs is when the plug caps are replaced after charging. The plug caps must always be replaced after charging your vehicle, but do ensure that the inside of both plug caps are dry. Avoid leaving the plugs lying around outside, do not drag or drop the Type 2 plugs on the ground and store the charging cable in a dry place when not in use.

Choice Of Cable Bags

We provide a free canvas cable bag (suitable for cables up to 15M) to store this Mode 3 cable when not in use. You can also upgrade the bag to a cable case made from EVA material for enhanced waterproofing and impact protection. The EVA case has an elasticated strap in the bottom compartment and elasticated mesh pocket in the top. So it allows convenient storage of two cables. The EVA case can therefore carry 2 cables if each cable does not exceed 10 metres length (20M total length).
